The position involves working on streamer creation and viewer engagement experiences across the platform’s product ecosystem. The role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and designers.

A Community UX Designer at Twitch will lead design work at the project level and work closely with senior partners. Responsibilities include representing projects to executive leadership and mentoring junior designers. Candidates will participate in all phases of development, from conception to execution and iteration. They will also conduct hands-on research and work alongside engineers.

The job can be performed from Twitch’s headquarters in San Francisco or from hub locations in Seattle, Irvine, or New York City. The company emphasizes learning directly from streamers and viewers to understand their needs. Designers are expected to use both qualitative and quantitative data to improve customer experience.

Applicants should have at least three years of experience in UX design focused on content discovery or engagement. Skills required include prototyping mobile experiences, using Figma, and working within design systems. A background in consumer software products and formal education in design or related fields is preferred.
