Robin Wright stars in the new thriller series “The Girlfriend,” now available for streaming exclusively on Prime Video. The show consists of six episodes, all released at once for viewers who prefer to watch the entire season without waiting.
“The Girlfriend” is based on a novel by Michelle Frances and follows Laura, played by Wright, whose stable life is disrupted when her son Daniel (Laurie Davidson) introduces his new girlfriend Cherry (Olivia Cooke). As Laura grows suspicious of Cherry, the series examines themes of trust and reality through different perspectives. The cast also includes Waleed Zuaiter, Tanya Moodie, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Karen Henthorn, Anna Chancellor, Leo Suter, and Francesca Corney.
