December marks a period when many people look back on the year and celebrate the moments that stood out. Snapchat has announced the release of its annual Snapchat Recap, designed to help users revisit highlights from 2025.

The Snapchat Recap is a personalized video for each user. It features selected moments from their Snaps, Stories, and Chats over the past year. The company describes it as “a one-of-a-kind look at how they connected, communicated, and expressed themselves throughout the year.”

Snapchat noted that in 2025, themes of friendship, creativity, and connection were prominent among users. According to the company: “Across the board, 2025 was defined by friendship, creativity, and connection. From quick chats to long calls and everything in between, friends showed up for each other in more ways than ever.”

This feature continues Snapchat’s approach of encouraging users to reflect on personal interactions and experiences throughout the year.
