Snapchat announced on March 12 the nominees for its inaugural Snappy Awards Show, which will take place on March 31 and be hosted by comedian and Snap Star Matt Friend. The event aims to recognize creators who have demonstrated innovation, creativity, and influence within the Snapchat community across a range of categories including entertainment, comedy, music, sports, beauty, and more.

The Snappy Awards are designed to honor individuals shaping culture and fostering connections through their content on Snapchat. Organizers said the show will highlight creators who stand out in areas such as storytelling, creative tool usage, lens creation, community building, and off-platform impact.

As part of the ceremony, DJ Khaled will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his enduring contributions as a creator, artist, and entrepreneur. The awards also include categories like Best Use of Creative Tools, Best Storyteller, Spotlight MVP, Top Lens Creator, Community Builder, One To Watch, Off-Platform Buzz, Comeback Star, Breakout Creator, Creator of the Year and several others focused on specific genres such as beauty, lifestyle, athletics and gaming.

The full list of nominees is available through Snapchat’s official channels. The company said it hopes this new awards show will further encourage creativity among its users while celebrating those who have made significant impacts within its platform.

Looking ahead to the March 31 event date, observers anticipate that the Snappy Awards could become an annual tradition spotlighting emerging talent and established creators alike.
