San Bernardino County is holding community meetings about Assembly Bill 98, the state’s guidelines for logistics development, according to an April 6 statement on the county’s website.
The meetings aim to inform residents about how AB 98 is being implemented and enforced. The law establishes statewide standards for truck routes and seeks to keep trucks and warehouse-distribution centers away from homes, schools, and other sensitive areas.
The Land Use Services Department of San Bernardino County is organizing these sessions. The first set of meetings, which took place last year, focused on truck routes in the area.
Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 98 into law in September 2024. The law went into effect on January 1 of this year.
