The Riverside Fire Department is working with ABC7 and other Southern California firefighters for the “Spark of Love” Toy Drive. The campaign, which has been held annually for 30 years, gathers new unwrapped toys, sports equipment, blankets, and gift cards for children and teens up to age 17.

According to a statement on Riverside’s website, items will be collected through December 12 in Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties. Community members can donate between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at any Riverside fire station or city community center. A list of community center locations is available at riversideca.gov/park_rec/community-centers.

Donations should not be made after hours.

The statement also noted that the Spark of Love Toy Drive has collected more than nine million toys over the past three decades.
