Rebecca Chaiklin’s new documentary series, “Hollywood Hustler: Glitz, Glam, Scam,” will premiere on Prime Video on October 17. The series explores the story of Zach Horwitz, an aspiring actor who orchestrated a Ponzi scheme in Hollywood to fund his lifestyle. The documentary details how Horwitz presented a glamorous life, including expensive homes and luxury experiences, while hiding a large-scale financial fraud.
The series is directed and executive produced by Rebecca Chaiklin, known for her work on “Tiger King” and “Another World.” She is joined by executive producers Danny Gabai, Alice Bristow, and Chris Smith. The production companies involved are Library Films, VICE Studios, and Article 19 Films.
“Hollywood Hustler: Glitz, Glam, Scam” features interviews with people close to Horwitz, including his ex-wife Mallory, friends who became business partners, and a longtime mistress. They discuss how they became involved in his fraudulent activities.
The documentary is part of a lineup of new content available on Prime Video in October, which also includes titles such as “Play Dirty” and “Hazbin Hotel.” Other true crime documentaries available on the platform include “LuLaRich,” “Lorena,” and “Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer.”
