Prime Video releases trailer for action comedy ‘Playdate’ starring Kevin James

Prime Video has released the trailer for its upcoming action comedy “Playdate,” set to premiere on November 12, 2025. The film follows Brian, played by Kevin James, a recently unemployed accountant who agrees to a playdate with Jeff, portrayed by Alan Ritchson. What begins as a typical afternoon quickly turns into a fight for survival when the two fathers and their sons are pursued by mercenaries.

The cast also includes Sarah Chalke, Alan Tudyk, Stephen Root, and Isla Fisher. The film is directed by Luke Greenfield and written by Neil Goldman.

“Playdate” will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video. Access to Prime Video is included with an Amazon Prime membership, which costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year.
