Prime Video has announced its broadcast team for the 2025 season of “Thursday Night Football.” The lineup features well-known announcers, analysts, and reporters with extensive backgrounds in sports broadcasting and professional football.

Al Michaels returns as the play-by-play announcer. Michaels is an eight-time Emmy Award winner and is recognized for his experience across major sporting events including the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, and NHL’s Stanley Cup Finals.

Kirk Herbstreit joins as game analyst. A former Ohio State University quarterback, Herbstreit has been a staple on ESPN for over two decades and holds 14 Emmy Awards for his work.

Kaylee Hartung serves as sideline reporter. Hartung is a nationally recognized correspondent who has worked with NBC’s Today show, ABC’s Good Morning America, World News Tonight with David Muir, and Nightline. She is a two-time Sports Emmy Award nominee.

Charissa Thompson continues as host in her fourth season. Thompson works alongside analysts Tony Gonzalez, Richard Sherman, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Andrew Whitworth. She has previously hosted shows such as NFL on FOX and Extra.

Andrew Whitworth provides analysis during pregame, halftime, and postgame segments. Whitworth retired in 2022 after 16 seasons in the NFL and was named NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2021. He commented on the upcoming season: “I think we all feel like it’s our birthday every Thursday night,” Whitworth said in a recent media call previewing the 2025 TNF on Prime season.”We get to go have a birthday party in the sense of we love the game of football and this is this awesome thing we get to all go do together and just be there to watch.
“And I think the ultimate goal to us is: Are we the kind of people that you wanna watch a game with? Like, we’re not there to overtalk you, we’re not there to say that we know more than you. We’re there to create the picture and have a blast and say, ‘Man, let’s watch this freaking awesome game tonight. Let’s find a way to laugh at ourselves, laugh at the game, have fun with it.”

Richard Sherman also appears as an analyst after an 11-year NFL career spent mostly with the Seattle Seahawks before joining other teams including San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He received a Sports Emmy nomination in 2025 for Outstanding Emerging Personality. Sherman said: “We’re getting to do what we love with the people we love, in an environment we love to do it in,” Sherman said in a recent media call previewing the 2025 TNF on Prime season. “We understand that we’re not the show. The game is the show, the players are the show.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick brings his experience from 17 years as an NFL quarterback into his role as analyst for pregame, halftime, and postgame coverage. Fitzpatrick was nominated for a Sports Emmy Award in 2025 for Outstanding Emerging Personality. He remarked: “Whit, Sherm and I were all fresh off the field and Amazon kind of took a chance and said, ‘Gosh, I don’t know. Let’s put these three knuckleheads in there and see how it goes,’ and the friendship that we were able to forge, the chemistry that we have off of the screen, we hope that that really shines,” Fitzpatrick said in a recent media call previewing the 2025 TNF on Prime season. “We also all genuinely love the game of football, and we hope that that shines through when we talk about the game and players and relationships because it is such a huge part of our lives.”

Tony Gonzalez joins as another analyst following his Hall of Fame career as tight end; he has previously appeared on FOX NFL Kickoff among other broadcasts.

Taylor Rooks acts as feature reporter conducting interviews with players or coaches during wrap-around coverage.

Terry McAulay will provide rules analysis after officiating NFL games for two decades including three Super Bowls.

Mark Teitelman leads production efforts having won ten Sports Emmy Awards; he also produces coverage for NFL Network events such as draft broadcasts.

Sam Schwartzstein contributes analytics expertise via Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats—a weekly alternate stream—drawing from his experience developing XFL rules.

For Spanish-language audiences Miguel Gurwitz delivers play-by-play while Rolando Cantú analyzes action; both bring extensive experience from prior sports journalism roles or professional play.

Prime Video remains home to exclusive live streaming of Thursday Night Football games each week during its fourth consecutive season (https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/storefront/ref=atv_hm_hom_c_9zZ8D2_t1).
