Morongo Casino Resort & Spa announced on April 11 that it has entered into sponsorship agreements with two minor league baseball teams in the Inland Empire.

The new partnerships involve Morongo Casino Resort & Spa becoming the presenting sponsor of the Ontario Tower Buzzers and the field sponsor at Epicenter Stadium, which is home to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. The field at Epicenter Stadium will now be named Morongo Field at the Epicenter. As presenting sponsor of the Tower Buzzers, Morongo’s name may appear alongside the team’s logo or any event associated with the team.

According to a statement released by Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, which is owned and operated by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, these agreements aim to strengthen community ties through local sports. “Baseball is America’s pastime because of its power to bring people together,” said Charles Martin, Morongo tribal chairman, in the statement. “We are thrilled to join with the Ontario Tower Buzzers and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes to celebrate this tradition while creating new opportunities for families across the Inland Empire to enjoy the excitement of the game.”

Financial terms for both sponsorships were not disclosed.

Both teams play an important role in regional sports as Single-A affiliates; Ontario Tower Buzzers are affiliated with Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers, while Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are affiliated with Los Angeles Angels.
