Moreno Valley is seeking input from its residents regarding the city’s Sister City partnership with San Juan de los Lagos, Jalisco, Mexico. An online survey launched on January 5 invites community members to share their opinions on the value of this relationship and suggest possible improvements, as detailed in a statement published on Moreno Valley’s official website.

“This program will help to foster meaningful cultural and educational exchanges between Moreno Valley and San Juan de los Lagos,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “We are excited to see these two communities cement a bond and kinship in the coming years, and enhanced even further by the support of local community and cultural organizations.”

The Sister City partnership began in 1993. In recent years, activity has slowed, particularly following the pandemic. Three years ago, Moreno Valley hosted a delegation from San Juan de los Lagos.

Residents can participate in the survey until February 5 at bit.ly/MoValSisterCitySurvey.
