The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) held its annual MNPL Conference in Savannah, Georgia on March 31. Around 300 IAM union members gathered to discuss labor politics and fundraising efforts, receiving updates from legislative leaders about the upcoming midterm elections.

The conference served as a platform for union members to learn about legislative strategies and prepare for future political engagement. The focus was on equipping attendees with information needed to support labor-friendly policies ahead of the midterms.

Following the conference, IAM delegates joined the No Kings rally and march in downtown Savannah. During this event, participants voiced their concerns regarding what they described as poor labor policies from the President.

The gathering highlighted ongoing efforts by union members to influence policy through political action and public demonstration. The combination of conference discussions and public rallies reflected a coordinated approach to advocating for workers’ interests at both legislative and grassroots levels.

Looking ahead, IAM delegates are expected to continue their involvement in political advocacy as election season approaches.
