The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) recently held its 2025 Joint Air Transport Safety Committee (JATSC) Conference at the William W. Winpisinger Center in Hollywood, Maryland. The event focused on several key areas, including the promotion of collaborative safety programs such as the Ground Safety Action Program. Other priorities included efforts to prevent injuries, reduce hazards, support ongoing training and education, and encourage strong worker safety reporting systems.

During the conference, daily video wrap-up reports covered sessions on topics such as distracted driving and issues related to carelessness and complacency in the workplace.

The committee continues to emphasize collaboration and proactive measures to improve safety for air transport workers.
