In the series “Upload,” viewers are introduced to a world where advanced technology such as holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D printers are commonplace. The show’s central concept revolves around the ability for people to be “uploaded” into a virtual-reality afterlife, provided they can afford it.
The fourth and final season of “Upload” is now available for streaming on Prime Video. The finale consists of four episodes and is included with an Amazon Prime membership. Prime memberships cost $14.99 per month or $139 annually and include additional benefits like fast shipping and exclusive deals.
Amazon offers discounted Prime memberships at half the regular price for certain groups. Young adults aged 18–24 and college students can access a six-month trial before paying $7.49 per month or $69 per year. Those who qualify for government assistance can try Prime Access free for 30 days, then pay $6.99 monthly.
The plot of the final season centers on sentient AI turning hostile, threatening Lakeview—the digital afterlife—and potentially the real world as well. Characters face challenges from corporate greed, unresolved mysteries, and emotional struggles both in virtual reality (VR) and in real life (IRL). Their only chance to save humanity from deletion is by working together one last time.
“Upload” was created by Greg Daniels, known for his work on “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” and “King of the Hill.” The cast includes Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy, Andrea Rosen as Lucy Slack, Anja Savcic as A.I. Girl, and Josh Banday as Ivan Spelich.
Prime Video will also feature new films, series premieres such as “The Pickup,” live events like Outside Lands music festival coverage, sports programming, and other fresh content this August.
