The U.S. Census Bureau has announced new data-sharing agreements with Brigham Young University-Idaho and the University of North Carolina System for its Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes (PSEO) experimental data product. This initiative provides information on earnings and employment outcomes for graduates by degree level, major, institution, and state.
With these additions, data from 17 more post-secondary institutions are now included in the PSEO, expanding coverage to a total of 952 institutions. This represents about 35% of all college graduates in the United States.
The PSEO relies on partnerships among universities, university systems, state education departments, state labor market offices, and the Census Bureau. Users can access this information through the PSEO Explorer tool, raw files, or via the Census API.
“The PSEO provides earnings and employment outcomes for college and university graduates by degree level, degree major, post-secondary institution, and state of institution, and is used by parents, students, institutions, and workforce agencies to learn about the labor force outcomes of graduates.”
