Caltrans will soon start pavement upgrades on State Route 74 in Lake Elsinore, according to an announcement posted on the city’s website. The work will include asphalt hot mix repairs, cold plane asphalt concrete work, and improvements to curb ramps to ensure compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act.
The construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., between Grand Avenue and Interstate 15. An exact date for the start of construction has not been provided, and Caltrans noted that schedules may change depending on weather or other factors.
Drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly, expect possible delays, and reduce speed when traveling through the affected area.
In addition to this project, Caltrans is already working nearby on the SR-74 Ortega Highway Lane Widening Safety Project. Motorists could see overlapping construction activity as both projects progress. More details can be found on the Caltrans District 8 website.
