Each week, new filings are added to ongoing and new proceedings that affect utility services in California. These filings include proposed decisions, complaints, and applications which may influence future policies and regulatory actions by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
Among the recent applications is one from Bear Valley Electric Service, Inc., which seeks authority to increase rates and charges for electric service effective January 1, 2027. Another application was submitted by NiceMojo Technologies, LLC for registration as a telephone corporation under Public Utilities Code Section 1013.
The Utility Reform Network has also filed an application for an award of intervenor compensation related to its contributions to Resolution SPD-37. San Diego Gas & Electric Company submitted an application requesting approval of Demand Flexibility Rates in compliance with D.25-08-049.
Other notable filings include Fireline Communications LLC’s application for registration as a telephone corporation and LTE Wireless, Inc.’s request for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide various telecommunications services.
Several complaints have also been filed. Pamela Browning and Joseph Frankl have lodged a complaint against Pacific Gas and Electric Company regarding alleged improper placement of facilities outside of a utility easement. Natalie Lawler and Alexander Myrvold filed a complaint against Southern California Edison Company alleging violation of Rule 17. Amy Weaver submitted a complaint against Wave Energy, LLC with allegations concerning unauthorized service and overbilling.
Members of the public can submit comments on proposed decisions through the CPUC’s Docket Card system or subscribe to receive updates about specific proceedings using their assigned numbers.
