The California Public Utilities Commission announced on March 30 that several new filings and proposed decisions were added to ongoing and new proceedings affecting utility services across the state during the week of March 23-27, 2026.
These filings include proposed decisions open for public comment, as well as applications and complaints that may influence future policy and regulatory actions in California. The commission encourages members of the public to stay informed and participate by submitting written comments on proposed decisions or subscribing to updates for specific proceedings.
Among the notable proposed decisions is one authorizing a ten percent rate increase on Crimson California Pipeline L.P.’s Southern California pipeline system. Another filing involves a proposal to dismiss a joint petition for modification of an earlier decision as moot. A third proposed decision orders immediate improvements to the California Climate Credit program, aiming to lower electric and gas bills for consumers.
New applications filed during this period include requests from various organizations such as the North American Numbering Plan Administrator seeking relief for the 657/714 numbering plan area, The Landline Company requesting authority to operate scheduled passenger service between Sonoma County Airport and San Francisco International Airport with a flexible fare structure, Western Riverside Council of Governments seeking approval of its energy network portfolio plan through 2035, Southern California Edison Company proposing deployment of Advanced Metering Infrastructure 2.0 with associated cost recovery, and Pacific Gas and Electric Company applying to recover costs related to extended operation of Diablo Canyon Power Plant in customer rates.
Additionally, a complaint was filed by Bing Zhou against Wave Energy LLC and Pacific Gas and Electric Company alleging overbilling issues.
The commission reminds stakeholders that public comments can be submitted directly via each proceeding’s Docket Card. Interested parties may also subscribe using proceeding numbers in order to receive timely updates regarding rulings or notices.
