The California Public Utilities Commission announced on March 9 a list of new filings and proposed decisions from the week of March 2 to March 6, 2026. These filings include proposed decisions open for public comment as well as new complaints and applications that may affect utility services across the state.

The announcement is significant because it highlights ongoing regulatory actions that can impact California’s utility services, communities, and consumers. The commission encourages public participation by inviting written comments on proposed decisions and offering subscription services for updates on specific proceedings.

Among the proposed decisions filed during this period are matters involving Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s leasing entitlements under Public Utilities Code Section 851 to Citizens Energy Corporation, approval of Southern California Edison Company’s 2023 Energy Resource Recovery Account Compliance Application, partial relief in a complaint proceeding, changes to the Renewable Gas Standard Program, and compensation to Utility Consumers Action Network for contributions to recent commission decisions.

New complaints and applications filed include Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s request for approval to sell the Hamilton Branch Hydroelectric Project, a compliance review application covering various aspects of utility-owned generation operations for the year ending December 31, 2025, Crimson California Pipeline L.P.’s application to increase rates for crude oil pipeline services in Southern California, PacifiCorp’s request to recover wildfire-related costs, and Brentech Inc.’s application for registration as a telephone corporation.

The commission reminds stakeholders that they can submit public comments on any proposed decision via the CPUC Docket Card or subscribe to specific proceedings using their numbers in order to receive future updates. This process aims to ensure transparency and encourage community involvement in shaping policies affecting utilities throughout California.
