California hotels announce fall travel deals across regions

California travelers looking for hotel deals this fall have a wide range of options throughout the state. Tourism boards often post special offers on their websites, including free nights, dining credits, and wine-tasting packages. Many discounts are available for those able to travel on weekdays or book longer stays, especially in popular wine regions such as Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Santa Ynez Valley, and Temecula Valley. September is California Wine Month, with wineries across the state offering additional discounts and activities.

In Northern California, Nakoma Resort in Plumas County’s Lost Sierra area features “September to Remember” promotions such as a third night free, daily credits of $100, or a complimentary round of golf. In Fort Bragg, Newport Ranch is celebrating its 10th anniversary by offering 25 percent off September stays and packages that include meals or guided mushroom foraging outings. The National Exchange Hotel in Nevada City provides a 15 percent discount along with a $25 dining credit and maps for local fall foliage walks on weekday two-night stays from October 5 to November 20.

Yountville’s Estate Yountville is giving guests 20 percent off regular rates plus $200 in wine credits for two-night minimum stays through November 18. Nineteen hotels in Sonoma County are participating in Third Night Free deals at properties like Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn Resort & Spa and Art House Hotel & Suites; terms vary by property and some deals extend into March 2026.

San Francisco’s Hyatt Regency offers a family-oriented “Happy Glamper” package that creates an indoor camping experience for children with treats and movies while parents benefit from waived fees and cocktails. This offer is available through December 31.

In Santa Cruz, the newly opened La Bahia Hotel & Spa has several introductory packages including spa credits and pet perks; the Sunrise Package includes a $50 dining credit at its onsite restaurant.

Central California’s Mammoth Mountain resorts are providing Fall in Love with Mammoth specials—stay one night at regular price and receive half off the second night or stay two nights to get the third night free. Participating hotels include Mammoth Mountain Inn, The Village Lodge, Juniper Springs Resort, and Tamarack Lodge; bookings must be made by November 12 for stays through November 14.

The Darling Hotel in Visalia is offering a 10 percent discount plus a $30 dining credit at its Elderwood restaurant until September 30. Visitors can use the hotel as a base to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks; entry will be free on September 27 for Public Lands Day (https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/fee-free-parks.htm).

Nearly twenty hotels in Santa Barbara are providing third night free deals valid through December 31; select offers run as late as May 2026.

In Southern California, Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel near Beverly Hills offers guests who book at least one week ahead both a 25 percent rate reduction and a $25 daily dining credit usable throughout the property. Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes has an Autumn Escape deal taking half off best rates plus daily resort credits of $100, complimentary parking, and waived resort fees until December 31 using promo code FALL.

Big Bear’s ski resorts—Big Bear Mountain, Snow Valley, Snow Summit—are soon to announce opening days. Santa Monica visitors can save up to 25 percent or receive a $100 resort credit when booking three- to five-night stays at Casa del Mar or Shutters on the Beach under Stay More Save More promotions. Parker Palm Springs grants guests an extra night free when booking three nights through September; Greater Palm Springs has further specials such as up to one-third off multi-night stays at Palm Mountain Resort & Spa until December (https://www.visitgreaterpalmsprings.com/stay/hotel-deals/).

Anaheim visitors can purchase Disneyland tickets starting at $104 per day this September. Hotels within Disneyland Resort are also offering up to 20 percent off stays of three nights or more through December (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/offers-discounts/).

Laguna Beach’s The Ranch offers every third night free along with comped parking and resort fees through year-end. Riverside’s Mission Inn combines room rates starting at $239 with spa credits and extended check-in/out times until November.

Temecula Valley winery resorts South Coast Winery and Carter Estate are providing $50 gift cards per night during September Wine Month promotions; these can be used at restaurants or tasting rooms on site.

La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club along with La Jolla Shores Hotel feature weekday discounts up to 35 percent through December; weekend bookings made two weeks ahead qualify for smaller discounts. A special anniversary package adds amenities like beach barbecues and family photo sessions.
