The role involves using lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce workplace risks and create a safer environment for employees. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, analyzing safety data, instructing operations leadership on company EHS policies, and developing safety managers within the designated region. The manager will also be expected to lead leadership development plans for their team and provide regular feedback to ensure core competencies are met.
Applicants should have at least seven years of experience in environmental health and safety or related programs within manufacturing or service operations, as well as employee management experience. A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s degree preferred. Candidates should also be experienced in implementing process improvements in operational environments and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
Additional job requirements include physical activities such as lifting up to 49 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods during shifts, working in varying temperatures and noise levels, climbing stairs at certain sites, and participating in emergency response when necessary. Those without adult First Aid, CPR, or AED certification from recognized organizations must obtain it within three weeks of starting the position.

Compensation for this position ranges from $126,700 per year up to $271,100 per year depending on geographic location and experience level.
