Amazon announced on Apr. 9 the opening for a Regional Refrigeration Specialist position, with applications accepted until Apr. 14, 2026. The role will focus on supporting commercial CO2 refrigeration systems across Amazon’s expanding North American market.

The position is important as it supports the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team in maintaining and improving critical equipment that enables Amazon to deliver products globally each day. The specialist will help ensure optimal performance of refrigeration systems and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities include traveling domestically up to 80 percent to provide technical support, conducting system audits, assisting in developing standardized maintenance procedures, and collaborating with various teams to enhance equipment performance. Candidates are expected to have at least three years of experience in the refrigeration industry or maintenance or engineering fields, an associate’s degree or equivalent Amazon RME experience, and familiarity with commercial CO2 refrigeration applications.

Amazon offers a compensation package that includes healthcare benefits from day one, a matching 401(k) program, paid parental leave up to twenty weeks, fire-resistant daily wear, and composite toe safety shoes. The company states it is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants regardless of veteran status or disability.

Applicants from Los Angeles County are informed that job duties include working safely with others and adhering to company policies under stressful conditions. In line with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, Amazon says it will consider candidates with arrest or conviction records for employment.
