Amazon is seeking a Regional EHS Manager III to help advance its goal of becoming the safest workplace in the world. The company’s Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is responsible for creating safe and efficient environments across Amazon’s operations.

The position will lead the implementation of Amazon’s Global WHS Program at specific sites, working closely with Operations leadership to integrate safety into daily activities. The role requires frequent travel—up to 70%—and flexibility in work hours. Physical requirements include lifting up to 49 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and working in varying environmental conditions such as different temperatures and noise levels.

Key duties involve incident management, staff training, emergency preparedness oversight, stakeholder communication, and regular site inspections. Candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in EHS or environmental programs within manufacturing or service operations. Additional qualifications include employee management experience, strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and experience with process improvement initiatives.

Applicants without adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must obtain it within three weeks of starting the job.

Amazon states: “Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.”

For applicants in Los Angeles County: “Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. Criminal history may have a direct, adverse, and negative relationship with some of the material job duties of this position. These include the duties and responsibilities listed above… Pursuant to the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.”
