Amazon announced on May 1 that it is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Integration Lead to oversee the installation, integration, and deployment of automation and material handling systems across multiple facilities. The position aims to ensure that projects meet Amazon’s safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards.

The role is important as it supports the company’s continued investment in automation within its operations. By managing installation crews and collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams across North America, the Integration Lead will help implement scalable solutions and resolve technical issues for large-scale programs.

Key responsibilities include leading crews deploying material handling equipment at various sites in North America, delivering complex projects with multi-site impact, providing technical expertise for automation initiatives across assigned locations, implementing solutions at the project level, participating in technical reviews to drive engineering excellence, recommending process improvements, maintaining documentation, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring achievement of safety and quality metrics. The company said applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial environments such as manufacturing or logistics. Additional requirements include experience with automated equipment like packaging machinery or conveyor systems; knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA and SQL; familiarity with Six Sigma or lean manufacturing; experience managing third-party vendors; supervisory experience; and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically.

Amazon states that it is an equal opportunity employer: “Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.” The company also notes that applicants needing workplace accommodations during the application process can find more information at https://amazon.jobs/content/en/how-we-hire/accommodations.

For Los Angeles County applicants specifically: “Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees… adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions… communicate effectively… follow all federal, state, and local laws.” Amazon says criminal history may impact eligibility but will consider qualified candidates under local ordinances.

Compensation includes a base salary range (not specified), sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Benefits offered by Amazon include health insurance options such as medical coverage (including dental vision), life insurance plans including AD&D coverage plus supplemental options if desired; Employee Assistance Program support services are available too along with mental health resources like advice lines—flexible spending accounts can be used towards certain expenses related either directly back into employment costs themselves OR family matters involving adoption/surrogacy reimbursement programs provided through their own benefit platform accessible online at https://amazon.jobs/en/benefits.
