Amazon announced on May 1 that it is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Integration Lead to oversee the installation, integration, and deployment of automation and material handling systems across multiple facilities. The role is important as it supports the company’s continued investment in automation within its operations. By managing installation crews and collaborating with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams across North America, the Integration Lead will help implement scalable solutions and resolve technical issues for large-scale programs.
Key responsibilities include leading crews deploying material handling equipment at various sites in North America, delivering complex projects with multi-site impact, providing technical expertise for automation initiatives across assigned locations, implementing solutions at the project level, participating in technical reviews to drive engineering excellence, recommending process improvements, maintaining documentation, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring achievement of safety and quality metrics. The company said applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial environments such as manufacturing or logistics. Additional requirements include experience with automated equipment like packaging machinery or conveyor systems; knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA and SQL; familiarity with Six Sigma or lean manufacturing; experience managing third-party vendors; supervisory experience; and willingness to travel up to 50% domestically.
