Amazon Pharmacy is seeking a staff pharmacist for its Los Angeles location. The company says its mission is to reduce barriers that prevent people from accessing their medications, aiming to provide transparent pricing, 24/7 customer service, and home delivery of prescriptions.

The open position involves various responsibilities including dispensing medications, managing prescription fulfillment processes, verifying and packing orders for shipment, and maintaining customer profiles in the company’s PharmacyOS system. Additional duties include initial order processing, prescription transfers, new prescription acquisition, system-based verification and documentation, quality assurance checks on dispensed medications, responding to clinical questions, investigating errors, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and collaborating with other pharmacy team members.

Candidates are required to have a Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree and an active unrestricted pharmacist license in California. Additional licenses may be needed if the applicant’s domicile state differs from the state of employment. Experience in long-term care or retail settings is preferred along with strong communication skills.
