Amazon announces workplace health and safety specialist roles for 2026 graduates in California

Amazon has announced the availability of full-time Workplace Health and Safety Specialist positions for recent and upcoming graduates across California. This announcement was made in a job posting.

According to Amazon, it is the second-largest private employer in the United States, behind Walmart, with more than 1.5 million employees worldwide as of 2024. The company’s workforce encompasses roles in fulfillment, technology, logistics, and corporate operations. Amazon continues to expand its presence in warehousing and last-mile delivery across the U.S.

The company reports an average starting wage of over $19 per hour for U.S. fulfillment and transportation employees. Amazon also states that it has invested more than $10 billion since 2018 in higher pay, employee safety, and workplace improvements.

Amazon offers comprehensive employee benefits beginning on the first day for many frontline roles. These benefits include health insurance, paid parental leave of up to 20 weeks, a 401(k) with company match, and fully paid college tuition through its Career Choice program.
