Amazon announced on Mar. 17 a new job opening for the position of Retail Lead Associate (Reduced-Time) within its Customer Experience Operations team. The role offers a starting pay of $20.30 per hour, with benefits available from the first day of employment.

The position is designed for individuals seeking reduced-time hours, averaging between 30 and 39 hours per week. Candidates must have open availability from Sunday to Thursday between 3:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., and be prepared to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Retail Lead Associates will serve as the face of Amazon at Locker+ retail locations, focusing on customer service operations and floor leadership responsibilities. Key duties include engaging with customers using established strategies, managing inventory systems, providing peer feedback, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining safety standards, and adapting to fast-changing environments. Physical requirements include lifting up to 49 pounds and standing or walking during shifts that can last up to 12 hours.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and possess at least one year of experience in retail or customer-facing roles, leadership positions, or Amazon employment. Experience in training others is also preferred.
