Amazon has announced that its Prime Big Deal Days event will return on October 7–8, 2025. The event is exclusive to Prime members and marks the start of the holiday shopping season, with discounts available across a wide range of categories such as home goods, apparel, toys, and beauty products.
Starting at 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 7, Prime members can access deals on popular brands including LEGO, Fisher-Price, MAGNA-TILES, Tonies for toys; Samsung, LG, Sonos for electronics; and Amazon Exclusives from brands like Lancôme and National Tree Company. According to Amazon, this event serves as a central point for holiday shopping needs.
Amazon is also highlighting several tools designed to help shoppers navigate the sale. These include Rufus, an AI-powered shopping assistant that can help users find gifts or plan holiday menus; Amazon Lens for visual product searches; Alexa+ to track deals on wish lists or saved items; and organizational features like Lists and Buy Again.
Early deals are already available for Prime members ahead of the main event. In addition to online savings, there are in-store grocery discounts and special offers for young adults. Membership costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year. There are discounted rates for students and qualifying government assistance recipients.
Shipping options remain a focus this year. U.S. Prime members have access to free shipping on over 300 million items and same-day or one-day delivery in more than 140 metro areas. The Amazon Day program allows customers to consolidate orders into fewer deliveries by selecting a specific day each week for package arrival—a move that reduced box usage by about 20% in 2024 compared to other delivery methods and helped lower carbon emissions.
The company’s Holiday Shop is now open with curated gift collections such as “Top 100 Gifts” lists tailored by recipient type and age group. The annual Toys We Love list highlights anticipated toys of the season alongside exclusive launches.
“Use Amazon’s AI shopping assistant, Rufus, to help find gifts for the hardest-to-shop-for loved ones, plan gluten-free holiday menus, or even source the perfect Christmas tree for a small space,” Amazon stated in its announcement.
“Find products quickly with Amazon Lens, a visual search tool, and now Lens Live instantly scans products, shows real-time matches in a swipeable carousel, and shares insights and answers.”
“Track deals with Alexa+ on products in the wish list, cart, or save for later.”
“Organize your shopping with Lists and Buy Again to help track items and revisit frequent purchases.”
“U.S. Prime members can enjoy more than 300 million items available with free Prime shipping and tens of millions of the most popular items available with free Same-Day or One-Day Delivery,” according to Amazon’s release.
“Prime members can use Amazon Day to select a designated day of the week to conveniently receive their packages—which is a great way to combine multiple orders into fewer deliveries,” the company added.
“Beginning today, customers can explore Amazon’s Holiday Shop…offering customers a head start on their seasonal shopping.”
“If you haven’t already [joined], sign up for savings…Anyone can join Prime for $14.99 per month or $139 per year…18-24 year-olds can try Prime for Young Adults…Qualifying government assistance recipients…and income-verified customers can get Prime Access…”
